Whats in the Box - LootAnime November Crate 2015

I think it is not surprise to anyone who follows me that I love a Loot Crate and subscription boxes.

It would also be no surprise that I love anime and Manga

So when the prospect of BOTH together showed up.....

I JUST HAD TO...

Now when the November crate arrived in early December 2015. I couldn't wait and had to dive in right away. I have since received the December crate this week and recorded a Unboxing video on youtube.

But even though it is late I thought I would share what was in the November crate..

The theme was Brawl..

So without further ado... this is what was inside..

The inside of the box was awesome with a huge image of Ironclad from Sword Art Online.

Naruto Shippuden Akatsuki Tee by Ripple Junction

A very nice t-shirt from  great series. it is a little busy for my liking but is making a great gym shirt. The fit was pretty spot on and it was good quality and 100% cotton.

Exclusive Attack on Titan Glass Mug by Surreal Entertainment

Fighting titans is thirsty work and goodness knows you need large amounts of coffee to keep awake. The mag is pretty cool, I think it would have looked better on a clear glass but that is my preference. It felt nice in had and would be great for those Attack on Titan binge watches..

Mystery Mini Anime Blind Box by Funko

I got Sebastian from Black Butler. He is so damn kawaii..

Attack on Titan Bandages by Crowded Coop

A bit odd but I guess even the Survey corps need a sticky plaster every now and then..

Seven Deadly Sins Vol 1 by Kodansha Comics

A manga is always a win for me and this series is one I am just getting into so I was very happy

Exclusive Founders Phone charm by Loot anime Labs.

This was very cute and took place of the regular pin in normal loot crates.

And finally a awesome big poster, which also had the list of everything in the crate on the other side.

Overall I really love the anime crate..
Favourite item would have been the Seven Deadly Sins Manga Book
There was not one item I didn't recognise the anime or manga it was from which was pretty cool...
I am such an Otaku

Now if you want to see what I thought of the December Crate...
Pop over to my YouTube channel.. the video is going up today

and if you just can't wait and want in on the looty goodness..go visit Lootcrate

What was the item you would have wanted most?

Binge watching..

As you may have noticed I have been absent a little more than usual recently.

I was slammed with a horrid virus that did the whole totally exhausted, fever and body aches thing..

It did lead me to watch lots of anime. as I usually do.. When I am poorly, I tend to curl up in bed or on the lounge and binge watch tv..

I thought i would share my "feeling poorly" binge watching shows playlist from last week.

Attack on Titan

I am sure if you like anime you will be aware of this show.. If not...GO WATCH IT NOW.
It is awesome, totally captivating.
I finished off the season and can't wait for more. That much that I may now be reading the Manga ;)

If you need another reason, GeekNation has a great post about it as well

Anything from Studio Ghibli
But this time I specifically watched:

My Neighbour Totoro
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Howls Moving Castle

If you do not know about Studio Ghibli.... Go watch now !!

My Little Monster

"Impassive girl meets trouble maker in a brand new love story! After Mizutani Shizuku, a girl whose sole interest is studying, is asked to deliver some handouts to Yoshida Haru, a boy who hasn't come to school after spilling blood on the first day, she finds herself the target of his affection."

Light and Fluffy Slice of life anime.
Very little thought needed for this one but it is super cute regardless.

Btooom!
"Sakamoto Ryota still has no job at age 22, and leads a rather dull life. But in the online game, BTOOOM!, he's stronger and more highly respected than anyone else. However, the game he's playing now is no longer virtual, but real."
Ok so definitely not light and fluffy. This Anime is Pretty gritty, Lots of blood and Adult themes. A very good anime though. Being a gamer it has you thinking what would happen if you were forced into your game in real life.

Blade and Soul

"Alka, a sword-woman with proficient skills, defeats foes by a single stroke. She travels with an aim to avenge her master, Hong's death, of which vendetta was required by the rules of the tribe she belongs to."

A very visually beautiful Anime, Pretty much what it looks like. Fighting, Revenge and totally impractical outfits. Worth watching.
Apparently it is going to be made into a MMORPG....
hmmm interesting..

Black Bullet

"In the year 2021, mankind was defeated by Gastrea, a parasitical virus, and is forced to live within a wall made of Varanium Monoliths, a metal that is able to subdue Gastrea. Soon, the "Cursed Children", children born with the Gastrea virus who are able to control it—which gives them superhuman abilities—were discovered."
Black Bullet has a good mix of action, humour and cute to keep me interested. Post apocalyptic world that can only be saved by the cursed children.
It is interesting to see one where the downfall is a virus rather than an outside aggressor.

Hanasaka Iroha
"Hanasaku Iroha centers around 16-year-old Ohana Matsumae who moves from Tokyo to out in the country to live with her grandmother at an onsen ryokan named Kissuisō"
Another Cute, easy to watch, slice of life anime.

----------------------------

So that was my list this time :)

Being in Australia, I watch most of my anime on Crunchyroll and Anime Lab.

Crunchyroll is a subscription service, but I find it is very worth the monthly fee.
It has the website and App's for Portable devices and Xbox 360 (there isn't an app for the next gen consoles yet)

Anime Lab is a the new free streaming service provided by Madman. So very cool..
It is still in beta but working nicely as far as I can see..

I have 4 x 48 hour guest passes to give away for Crunchyroll..
So if you wanted to give it a try..  Comment Below

The best laid plans of mice and men....

We all have those grand plans of stuff we are going to do over the weekend.

The mystical 2 days that go forever and you can do all the stuff you need to and still be ready for work on monday morning

Ok maybe it is just me and i am delusional.

Anyway i had grand plans for the past weekend..
-  I was going to photograph and post about at least one of the new amazing clothing hauls i got recently
- I was going to write up a few other things
- I was going to clean my house
- I was going to fix up the plants on my little balcony
- I was going to have fun gaming with my friends
- I was also going to try and kick ass at Archery.

But NOOOOOO, What did i do..

I spent the whole two days and yesterday in bed, feeling ever so poorly with a mystery flu.
So here is the grand total of what i actually did..

I would be totally lost without my tech when i am sick. my life totally revolves around internet and devices usually but even more so when i am unwell

so i

Watched three whole seasons of different anime shows back to back on Crunchyroll

At first on the longue in a blanket nest using the Crunchyroll app on my Xbox360

And then from my Ipad in bed when i needed to lay down (which was pretty much the whole weekend)
PSN seriously needs a Crunchyroll app for the PS3 in Australia (they do have one in the US), then i could have used the tv in my bedroom instead.

I caught up with my gorgeous sisters via webchat
btw....this is an old image of us chatting because,
yeah there was no way i was capturing my sick, mopey, in bed face i had going on over the weekend.

I read a whole book on my kindle
currently reading the Gena Showalter - lords of the underworld series,
(gotta love my obsession with paranormal romance)

and i slept
thats it, thrilling hey. it actually sounds quite nice if i didn't feel like hell the whole time

I am back at work today feeling nasty but at least i am upright

what are your favourite technology items for when you are sick??

Stupid cold....

Well it finally got me...

After a month or so of feeling a little off I finally got a damn cold...
My god it is doozy...

I have been bed bound for almost a week and am still far from 100% but i am back at the grind today with a large quantity of medication.

It did however make me think about how we all have our own little comforts or habits we do when we are sick.

This was my view for most the the last week.

Laying in my big gorgeous bed, under my favourite linen
(don't worry a post is coming about those very soon)

I watch way too much Anime usually..
All i can say is lord bless Crunchyroll - one of the best anime video services about..

This time the shows mainly consisted of InuYasha (not in CR unfortunately), Bleach and Hiiro No Kakera

it is pretty much all i watch when i am sick for some reason..

My sick comfort food is mainly chicken soup, my mum always made us soup when we were kids and it stuck

I also usually crave fruit that is high in Vitamin C like oranges and passion fruit.

the main other thing i could say other than reading a lot is of course sleep... lots and lots of sleep

What are your favourite ways to rest and get better when the dreaded cold hits??
