Wednesday Wants - Racy Red Pencil Skirts..

I am always on the hunt for separates.
As much as I adore dresses, Separates are just often more versatile and practical for everyday work outfits

So after some on-line 'window shopping' this week.
I have decided to dedicate this weeks 'Wednesday Wants' to the Simple, Staple but ever so sexy Red Pencil Skirt.

So with out further ado...

Exhibit A

VAVAVOOM Pencil Skirt by Wheels and Dollbaby

This limited edition pencil skirt from the amazing Wheels and Dollbaby caught my eye right away.
Constructed of a luxury satin and lace, the tailoring just looks amazing. It also apparently has a power mesh lining so I can imagine would be amazing at smoothing out those curves.

However coming in at a cost of $340 AUD
It is more than I am willing to spend on a skirt by far to wear to work.

Exhibit B
(Pin Up Girl Clothing)

I just love the classic, Simple Sleek shape of this skirt. It is the classic quintessential Pencil skirt really.
Made from a lovely stretch bengaline, it would enhance, smooth and just look wiggletastic.

Costing a very manageable $68 USD ($87 AUD at the current exchange rate)
It is what I would expect to pay for a well made and well fitting pencil skirt.

Exhibit C

This is a steal really, but not made to last as long as the two above. Made from a Stretch jersey fabric it can possible stretch out it loose shape over time. it has a Elasticated, high waistband that may dig in if you do not get the right size. However being a Close cut bodycon fit it should smooth and be very light and flexible to wear

The highlight however is the price... $38 AUD
I know right.. that is damn cheap for a skirt.

My Verdict, as much as i love the cheapness of Exhibit C, i know that kind of fabric does thin out a little and would not get as much wear. I love the more tailored shape and structure that the bengaline of Exhibit B would provide. I wear skirts to death so i could not justify the cost of Exhibit A for a work outfit. So exhibit B it is again..

What one caught your eye?

  1. Definitely B, not even a fair fight this week.

Although, in fairness, the model in B does nothing to help dresses A or C stand out! 😂

I love B, but that's probably because the pictures are so awesome!
